The Match

After Morelia struck in the second minute, and Cecilio Domínguez left the match with an injury shortly after, Roger Martínez headed home the first goal for América to tie the match at 1-1 in the 16th minute.

Then just 10 minutes into the second half, Martínez struck again for his second goal in his debut match.

Roger’s second goal proved to be the winner as América controlled the remainder of the game and hung on to a 2-1 win over Morelia.
