Earlier this month, Club América announced the acquisition of Luis Reyes from Club Atlas.
The Mexican defender debuted in Liga MX in the Apertura 2016. He has played 55 games in the top division for a total of 4820 minutes. He has experience playing in Copa MX and CONCACAF Champions League with Atlas.
“Huesos” (“Bones”) as he is known to some, is naturally left-footed. Thanks to his quality on the left side, Reyes was called up to the Mexican National Team in February of 2017 and played his first minutes against Iceland, coming on as a substitute in the second half. Reyes participated in the Confederations Cup and the 2017 Gold Cup with Mexico.
Now, Reyes is the latest reinforcement for América and arrives to strengthen the backline ahead of the Apertura 2018.
