The Súper Clásico returns to the U.S.

PRIMETIME Sports, Club América, and CD Chivas de Guadalajara officially announced today that the internationally known Súper Clásico returns to the United States during Mexico’s Independence month. This legendary rivalry dates back to 1926 and was last played in Los Angeles in 2005. The latest edition of the Clásico is proudly hosted by the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Los Angeles Football Club, and is scheduled to be played on Sunday, September 9 at 4:30 p.m. PST.

El Súper Clásico involves the two biggest teams in Mexican soccer history and is considered one of the most prestigious sporting events in the Americas. Witnessing a Súper Clásico is the ultimate experience, giving fans in the United States a chance to attend an event like no other.

Various activities around Los Angeles will take place leading up to the game; including, team legends, official mascots, trophies, celebrities, musical performances, food festival, as well as other celebrations that will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.

Ticket pre-sale starts on Tuesday, July 31st at 9:00 a.m. PST at Ticketmaster and for LAFC season-ticket members and for the general public on Thursday, August 2nd at 9:00 a.m. PST. Tickets will be available at the Coliseum box office, Ticketmaster and select points of sale starting at $40 for general admission and $25 for children under 12.
