ENGLISH: Álvarez and Peralta begin World Cup prep with friendly vs Wales

Edson Álvarez and Oribe Peralta begin their preparations for the 2018 FIFA World Cup with a friendly against Wales.

The match against Wales in Pasadena will be El Tri’s final match in the US ahead of this year’s World Cup. Mexico manager Juan Carlos Osorio will have to whittle his roster down from the preliminary 28-man squad named earlier this month to the 23-man final list that will fly to Russia. These friendlies give Álvarez, the youngest player on the 28-man list, and Peralta, one of the oldest and most experienced, the chance to secure their spot.
